Associate Electrical Design Engineer

Management, Design Engineering

Work Schedule:
Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for an AssociateElectrical Design Engineer to perform the conceptual design, analysis, development, and testing of complex electronics used on NASA, military, and commercial space applications.

You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager in the Actuation Systems business unit. This position requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems.

To be considered for the Associate Electrical Design Engineer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor Science in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) or related field
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)


Preferred Qualifications include:
  • Experience with circuit modelling and simulation
  • Experience with schematic capture and printed circuit board layout (Allegro Capture CIS, PCB Editor preferred)
  • Familiarity with analog and mixed signal circuit design


As our Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
  • Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that fosters knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed schematics, layouts, and simulation models for electrical designs, working closely with senior engineers.
  • Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
  • Perform design analysis (i.e. signal integrity, stress, sensitivity, worst-case, deratings).
  • Create and perform development test procedures for designs at the circuit card, box, and system integration levels.
  • Document designs, analyses, and test results with clear, accurate, and concise reports.
  • Participate in failure investigations of hardware.
  • Provide work estimates in support of new proposals.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$100,000.00 Annually
