At Collins Aerospace, our aftermarket business is built on strong supplier partnerships, innovative sourcing strategies, and exceptional customer support. As the Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management, you will lead a team responsible for developing and managing relationships with our most critical global suppliers, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and driving sourcing strategies that ensure our customers receive the products and services they depend on. In this role, you will work on impactful projects, refine your leadership and strategic skills, engage with Collins Aerospace Leadership, our OEM Supply Chain counterparts, the global supply chain partners and Program/Value Stream internal stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to influence global sourcing strategy, lead complex supplier partnerships, and collaborate with senior leaders across Collins Aerospace.

Ideally, this is hybrid role (combination of onsite and remote work) based at our Windsor Locks, CT facility. Other domestic P&C Aftermarket locations will be considered f (ex. Rockford, IL, Phoenix, AZ, Miramar, FL).

Anticipated travel for this role is at 25% and will include international travel.

What You Will Do
  • Establish key elements of the Supply Chain plan, in terms of operations, specific initiatives, financial objectives and timelines, in line with organizational strategy.
  • Lead a team of Strategic Sourcing and Key Account Managers who are responsible for supporting critical suppliers and programs
  • Lead, engage and collaborate with other functions and channel partners, including suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers, and customers in support of strategic goals.
  • Develop and manage implementation of large-scale supply chain management related to new systems, programs and processes in support of Supply Chain strategy.
  • Manage Key Supplier accounts ensuring strong working relationships, escalation of critical issues and exploration of new business opportunities.
  • Serve as the key escalation point for critical performance, contractual and commercial issues.
  • Work with the Aftermarket Program Management team to develop supplier aftermarket support agreement templates covering all customer requirements.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts supporting Collins Power and Controls aftermarket objectives and Collins overall supply chain management strategy.
  • Support MRO sites contractual needs when requested.
  • Enforce all contractual obligations assuring supplier compliance and exercising rights to remedies.
  • Manage adherence to import, export, and excise regulation as per compliance.
  • Maintain the interaction between specific Value Streams and Functional stakeholders and the supply base.
  • Act as a voting member of the Executive Sourcing Board and for New Product Introduction sourcing.
  • Drive Entry into Service activities with select suppliers on new programs working closely with cross-functional teams on key deliverables.
  • Manage elements of MRO make to buy transitions for Power & Controls sites in support of footprint optimization and/or product rationalization initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Supply Chain management, Operations and/or aftermarket experience


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, or supply chain teams within the aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience in Contract management inclusive of drafting agreements, negotiating contracts and approval processes.
  • Experience managing executive-level supplier relationships and resolving critical supplier performance, contractual, or commercial issues.
  • Knowledge of aerospace aftermarket, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), or sustainment operations.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience
  • CPM/CPIM education or experience

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
