UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking an Associate Director, Software Engineer in Weehawken, NJ

We're looking for an Associate Director, Software Engineer to:
• Design and implementation of new data-based frameworks and tools within the UBS ACQA platform.
• Triage with cloud-based data storage and distribution solutions.
• Work with Spark based big data analytics and understand Spark architecture and features to build most optimal solutions.
• Bug fixes and optimization of existing complex solutions which could be datasets of size in the region of terabytes.
• Analyze and produce reports on large datasets, using big data reporting tools and machine learning techniques to gain insights.
• Develop web apps to give an overview of the data to the end users. Interact with the stakeholders, business as well as other developer teams, to understand requirements.
• Present new features to the ACQA community, working with various teams promoting their use of new feeds, and platform features.
• Can work hybrid (In-office/remote).

Salary Range & Work Schedule: $189,592 to $202,000 /year, 40 hrs/wk. This notice is being posted in connection with an application for permanent Alien Labor Certification. Your expertise
Education & Experience Requirement:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as a Product Development Engineer, or a related occupation.
Alternate Education & Experience Requirement (if applicable):
• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience as a Product Development Engineer, or a related occupation in lieu of Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
Position requires experience with the following:
• Programming in Python and Scala; Spark architecture; Risk and PnL data; Gathering consumer requirements and translate it into development tasks; SQL to analyze the data; Kafka; Microservices; Docker; Kubernetes; Webservices; Bigdata (PySpark, Databricks, and SQL); AI (Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Gen-AI); Microsoft Azure Cloud; Grafana.
Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New Jersey - Weehawken min USD 189592 - max USD 202000 /annum
