The Opportunity

The Associate Director, Sales Capabilities (Sales Training) - Alastin Skincare is a leader responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and execution of sales training programs across the Alastin Skincare salesforce, including account managers, specialty account managers, regional educators, regional sales managers, area sales directors, and corporate account managers. This role oversees a training professional, manages large-scale strategic initiatives (including multiple product launches), and partners with senior commercial leadership to align training solutions with business objectives. The individual ensures that all training initiatives are designed for measurable impact, and compliant with industry.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Develop and execute a multi-year sales training and development strategy that supports commercial priorities and talent development goals.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to Alastin Commercial and R&D leadership on training needs, capability gaps, and product launch readiness.
  • Oversee design and implementation of learning roadmaps for new hires, tenured reps, field managers, and sales leadership.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a Manager, Sales Capabilities
  • Design and implement a "market sales trainer" program that uses the peer leadership of experienced Alastin Account Managers to support onboarding new hires, new hire training and training done at POA and National Sales Meetings.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and performance excellence.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all training programs and delivery channels.

Program Ownership & Execution
  • Direct high-priority initiatives, including product launch, account management, selling skills, and first level leader development.
  • Ensure training programs integrate clinical knowledge, brand strategy, , provider and patient loyalty initiatives, business to business selling, corporate accounts strategies and pull through and objection handling.
  • Implement modern learning solutions (blended learning, microlearning, simulations, digital engagement) to increase adoption and retention.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing, Channel Strategy and Loyalty, E-Commerce and Practice Development) to translate brand objectives into actionable field training content.
  • Collaborate with Compliance to ensure all materials meet FDA, PhRMA, and corporate standards.

Measurement & ROI
  • Define key performance indicators for training effectiveness and commercial impact.
  • Implement rigorous post-training certification process to ensure individual and team proficiency after each training event
  • Leverage analytics, field feedback, and business results to optimize learning strategies. Report progress and outcomes to General Manager, Alastin.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8-10+ years in pharmaceutical, or skincare sales, sales leadership, or sales training roles.
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility in sales training or other senior commercial roles with experience managing people and budgets.
  • Demonstrated success leading product launch training at a national scale.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive change across an organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, PhRMA Code, and healthcare compliance guidelines.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect training strategies to commercial results.
  • ~30-40% overnight travel

Compensation

The target base salary range for this role is $135,000-$170,000 per year. This range reflects the anticipated compensation for the role. Where pay falls withing the range may vary based on many factors, including, but not limited to, job responsibilities, skills, experience, education, certifications, location and applicable geographic pay zones, market conditions, internal equity and business considerations. Compensation decisions are made based on an assessment of the candidate's qualifications and the totality of relevant factors.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an annual short-term incentive program, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
