What you'll be doing...The Advanced Communications Product Delivery (ACPD) organization, part of Verizon's Technology Product Development (TPD) division, provides end-to-end engineering, architecture, and lifecycle management for a portfolio of over 50 mission-critical platforms supporting Verizon's Advanced Communications suite of wireline and wireless products. Our organization serves as the primary technical delivery team for non-IT Advanced Comms products, encompassing design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing 2nd/3rd-level application support. We are responsible for the full lifecycle of hardware, OS, and software infrastructure, maintaining strict security and policy compliance, including PCI and SOC2.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- VoIP Team Leadership: Leading and developing the team working to execute the Product Development strategy, delivering business value to Verizon's Wireline Voice over IP (VoIP), Calling and Collaboration services.
- Platform & Application Innovation: You will be a strategic thinker, engaging your team to develop platforms and applications to support new opportunities and product offerings.
- Cross-Functional Partnerships: Building and maintaining critical partnerships across the VBG and GNT, IT and Network organizations at any or all stages of the value proposition, ideation through post launch management, to ensure successful engagement and continuity of VoIP products and services. Driving matrixed collaboration across Product Management, HQ Planning, Maintenance Engineering, GTS, Lab, and Network Engineering teams.
- Secure Infrastructure Roadmaps: Leveraging your team's expertise to develop strategic and secure infrastructure and product application roadmaps to achieve VBG's revenue growth and sustainment targets.
- Portfolio & Agile Governance: Owning the VoIP Calling and Collaboration portfolio, leading the team of managers responsible for the business value delivery within the ACPD hybrid SAFe Agile development construct.
- Cloud-Native Modernization: Modernizing the VoIP portfolio technology from legacy architecture to a cloud native ecosystem while decomposing monolithic platforms into a service oriented architecture.
- Cybersecurity Hygiene: Maintaining acceptable cyber security hygiene for the portfolio, including awareness and appropriate responses to security incidents based on severity.
- Upstream & Downstream Alignment: Managing peer relationships with up and down stream systems to ensure alignment, communication, and lean practices.
- Operational Excellence & Delivery: Navigating rapidly evolving application infrastructure environments to accelerate end-to-end design, development, and market deployment. Overseeing capital expenditure planning, outline funding needs, and govern intake and planning processes in alignment with PMO standards.
What we're looking for...You'll need to have:- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
- Experience in DevSecOps management
- Managed product development from ideation through to launch
Preferred Qualifications:- A Master's degree - ideally in Computer Science or MBA
- Expertise in Voice over IP products and services
- Familiarity with OpenShift, Virtualization, and Containerization architectures
- Familiarity with Verizon's VCP platform
- Familiarity with best-practices-based SAFe, Agile Framework
- Convey your ideas in compelling and persuasive ways to a variety of audiences
- Led SAFe Agile Product Development teams to achieve goals

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $133,000.00 - $255,000.00.
The annual salary range for the Colorado location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $133,000.00 - $232,000.00.
