ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, PAID MEDIA
Reports to: Director, Paid Media
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Status: Full-time; Exempt his position is included in a union-represented collective bargaining unit; specific employment terms and conditions are subject to labor-management negotiations and a potential Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $91,000
Position Summary
The Hub Project is looking to add an Associate Director of Paid Media to our economy campaigns team. The Associate Director of Paid Media will develop innovative, strategic, and effective paid media programs for our campaigns that advocate for an economy that works for everyone. In this role, you will be responsible for working with the program's internal teams and external media vendors to manage the development, production, creative feedback process, and release of our paid media programs and manage workflows across a variety of projects.
As Associate Director of Paid Media, you'll:
- Manage external paid media vendors and consultants (such as TV, radio, direct mail, digital) to design and execute successful, integrated paid media campaigns across media channels.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align on audience targeting and messaging and track and manage creative approvals processes for paid campaigns.
- Advise internal project teams on long-term paid media strategy and execution.
- Work with consultants and Hub staff to launch new paid programming, including recruitment for shoots, media plan development, and planning approval timelines.
- Manage the implementation of low-dollar paid advertising to garner earned media attention.
- Analyze and track paid media performance and help create reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with the finance team and external vendors to ensure that paid media invoices are accurate, paid on time, and in alignment with overall media plans.
- Own communication and relationships with external consultants, partners, and internal staff to guide and accomplish project objectives.
- Keep a pulse on the latest trends and best practices for paid media and find innovative ways to integrate them into our campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About you:
- You have 5-7 years of relevant work experience, with a preference for 2-4 years spent on a political campaign, within an advocacy organization, or at a public affairs or media firm.
