Job DescriptionSt. Joseph Center is seeking an experienced
Associate Director to lead a portfolio of programs serving individuals experiencing homelessness. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across programs, with responsibility for
service quality, staff leadership, program performance, compliance, outcomes, and budgets. The Associate Director will help ensure people are connected to the services and resources they need with as few barriers as possible.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support program managers across assigned programs.
- Ensure high-quality, client-centered, strength-based, and accessible services.
- Develop program goals and lead implementation of key priorities, deliverables, and improvements.
- Oversee program performance, data quality, outcomes, compliance, and reporting.
- Manage program budgets and staffing resources.
- Coach and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing team.
- Build strong relationships with community partners and other service providers.
QualificationsWhat You Bring- Experience leading programs serving people experiencing homelessness, low-income communities, or other high-need populations.
- Supervisory and program management experience, including budget oversight.
- Knowledge of homelessness services, continuum-of-care practices, and effective service linkage.
- Experience collaborating with community partners and public or social service agencies.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, public health, public policy, or a related field; relevant program management experience may be substituted.

Work EnvironmentRegular use of a computer and HR technology platforms is required, along with the ability to manage detailed records and sustained periods of screen-based work. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement with regular onsite presence and occasional travel among Los Angeles-area locations.
