WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking an experienced highly motivated Lead Murex Reporting Developer for Credit & Rates Derivatives' trade management, reporting and settlement system (Murex). You will be working as a member of the FRTB and Murex reporting team to develop data services between trading systems and risk, finance, and operations applications. You will work across various technology groups to deliver high quality applications and strive for continuous improvements of our processes, application designs and application execution.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Design and implement reports and data feeds for the Murex Rates & Credit platform, using the Murex reporting modules (Datamart, MRB, etc) and RBC in house tools
  • Work closely with BA and technical lead and vendor resources and other IT partners involved in the Murex Rates project
  • Implement the scheduling and automation of data extraction jobs, using Control-M, processing scripts, and unix scripting
  • Create and improve detailed technical design document for work involved
  • Participate in the creation and execution of test cases against work implemented
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
  • Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:
  • 5+ Years hands on experience on Murex, version 3.1 and above, with focus on:
    • Datamart reporting, market risk (MRB), processing scripts
    • Trade valuation/risk, P&L Explain, and simulation screens
  • 3+ Years of experience on SQL (Sybase)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Python, Java, messaging (Solace, MQ), Spring, and database (Sybase), and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Experience in working with JSON, REST API interfaces, and micro services
  • Experience in working with unit testing and integration testing
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team
  • Exposure to analytics and quantitative finance and excellent problem solving skills

  • Quick learner with ability to pick up new technologies/skills and business knowledge
  • Good understanding of financial products and trade risk management
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and effectively
