Asthe Associate Director, Marketing Technology, you will provide strategic consulting-level support and guidance through key IT initiatives. As a strategic partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders, you will work with our global Marketing leadership team to discuss opportunities,identifyand prioritize projects, and deliver technology products that meet business needs.

You will serve as the trusted advisor and primary IT point of contact to marketingplayinga major rolein the annual budget process, the quarterly portfolio update to the executive team, and the annual strategic planning process. This ensures close alignment on Marketing and IT priorities to drive long-term success for IDEXX.

In this role...

  • You will work in partnership with Marketing, IT leadership, and the IT Project Management Office, communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information toappropriate levelsof staffregardingbusiness unit requests, projects, and initiatives.

  • You will focus on strategic initiatives and planning activities for the business, in particular newsystemsand capabilities.

  • You will partner with IT, Marketing, and commercial leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities andidentifyandfacilitateprioritization across the portfolio.

  • You will serve as a lead role in enabling the business to achieve itsobjectivesthrough the effective use of technologyincluding emerging AI capabilities.

  • You will support and work through resolutions for service and delivery escalations.

  • You will operate as key business contactrepresentingIT in promoting IT services and capabilities.

  • You will understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues.

  • You will identifyandprovidetechnical options to satisfy business ideas.

  • You will champion the evaluation, adoption, and governance of AI tools and platforms in partnership with Marketing stakeholders, ensuring responsible and high-impact use across campaigns, operations, and customer engagement.

  • You will translate AI capabilities (e.g., generative AI, predictive analytics, marketing intelligence) into actionable business value for marketing leadership.

  • You will partner with data, analytics, and platform teams to embed AI-powered solutions into marketing workflows and technology roadmaps.

What You Need to Succeed...

You have Technical & Platform Experience

  • You have 10+ years of relevant IT and Marketing Technology experience along with leadership experience.

  • You have hands-on familiarity with the modern MarTech (Marketing Technology) ecosystem (a marketing automation platform like Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or Marketo; the CRM underneath it; a CDP or data layer; analytics and attribution tooling)

  • Strong organizational skills, including operational execution excellence.

  • Working knowledge of Agile estimations and Product Ownership.

  • Ideal candidates will have a background working in a progressive, cloud-based software environment.

  • We are looking for someone in this role to be driving distance to our corporate HQ in Westbrook, Maine, where we have a flexible hybrid requirement of only 8 days per month on-site.

You have AI & Emerging Technology knowledge & experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with AI technologies in a business or marketing context, including generative AI tools, AI-powered analytics, or intelligent automation platforms.

  • Familiarity with AI platform ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce Einstein/Agentforce, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent) and how they integrate with modern marketing technology stacks.

  • Ability to assess AI use cases for business impact and feasibilitytranslating technical AI capabilities into strategic marketing value.

  • Understanding ofAI governance principles, responsible AI use, data privacy implications, and change management considerations when deploying AI solutions.

  • Experience driving AI adoption among non-technical business stakeholders, including training, communication, and enablement strategies.

What you can expect from us:

  • Base annual salary target: $160000 - $190000 (yes, we do have flexibility if needed)
