Full Job Description
The Importance of the Role
The Associate Director, Global Medical Affairs Lead (GMAL) is a key contributor to the GMAL team within Global Medical Affairs (GMA) department. As GMALs, we drive medical strategy and tactics to establish and elevate the impact of Sarepta's science and therapies. This role will contribute to our mission through strategic and tactical scientific support of Sarepta's gene therapy for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This role will report to the Global Medical Affairs Lead for DMD Gene Therapy.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of GMA strategy for product launch and life-cycle management to bring alignment on key initiatives for the therapeutic area in line with overall Corporate and Medical priorities
  • Develop medical materials (including slides and talking points) for gene therapy and DMD, ensure cross-functional program alignment, and participate in review processes
  • Act as SME to review and approve medical and promotional material including congress materials and symposia
  • Build strong relationships that foster working effectively in close collaboration with cross-functional partners to plan and execute tactics
  • Remain informed of current developments within pertinent medical and scientific communities through familiarity with current literature and attendance at scientific meetings
  • Support initiatives to disseminate the scientific and medical impact of our products with key stakeholders (physicians and payers).
  • Contribute to congress, symposia, advisory board and expert committee strategy development and creation of content
  • Work effectively and in close collaboration with cross-functional partners to plan and execute tactics
  • Serves as a role model of integrity and compliance
  • Perform other related duties as needed
  • Travel approximately quarterly for internal meetings and/or scientific congresses and meetings.

  • Doctorate degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) with 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • Preferred experience in gene therapy, rare neuromuscular disorders or related fields

This position is hybrid, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $173,200 - $216,500 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
