Position Summary

The Associate Director, Field Technology is responsible for leading the management, organizational roadmap, optimization, and field adoption of sales systems, including CRM, Field Reporting, and other field technology tools. This role will focus on strategic enhancements, system performance, and cross-functional alignment to support commercial effectiveness.

The Associate Director will serve as a key partner to Field Strategic Operation points, Brand, IT, Commercial Operations, and Analytics, ensuring sales teams have the necessary tools and insights to optimize execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Systems Strategy & Optimization
  • Act as a business owner for sales systems supporting field teams across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Develop the Field Technology organizational roadmap for each sales division they support
  • Drive system enhancements, configurations, and integration efforts with IT and external vendors
  • Develop and implement a roadmap for field technology improvements, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic imperatives
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance sales force productivity through system automation and process efficiencies

Field Support & Adoption
  • Serve as a liaison between field sales and IT, ensuring seamless system performance and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with Systems Training to create training materials, system guides, and best practices for end users
  • Establish and monitor adoption metrics, proactively identifying areas for improvement

Data & Analytics Alignment
  • Partner with Commercial Analytics teams to ensure sales teams have access to meaningful insights and dashboards
  • Work with IT to maintain data integrity, governance, and compliance within sales systems
  • Assess system utilization data to provide strategic recommendations to leadership

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Leads through influence across multiple functions. Collaborate with Field Strategic Operation teams, Brand, IT, and Marketing to align system capabilities with commercial priorities
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring system reliability and ongoing enhancements
  • Contribute to vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service-level agreements


Qualifications & Experience

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in sales operations, CRM management, or field technology
  • Expertise in Veeva or Salesforce CRM, Power BI, and other sales enablement platforms
  • Proven ability to lead system implementation, enhancements, and field adoption initiatives
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, IT, and Commercial Operations


Preferred:
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with AI-driven sales analytics and emerging field technologies

Minimum $169,222.00 - Maximum $253,000.00, plus incentive opportunity: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for individuals who are hired in the role to perform in the United States. Other elements may be used to determine actual pay such as the candidate's job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in role. Typically, actual pay will be positioned within the established range, rather than at its minimum or maximum. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with states and local laws.
