Job DescriptionWe are looking for a results-driven Associate Director, Data Science and Analytics to lead end-to-end analytics initiatives and build scalable models that drive business impact. This role requires a strong foundation in statistical modeling, hands-on coding in Python and SQL, and the ability to translate data into strategic insights. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities- Understand Razorfish data capabilities and how data fits into a client's overall strategy
- Understand the breadth of data services and crafts
- Lead cross-capability projects and build close relationships with other disciplines
- Identify appropriate data SME to leverage when needed
Analytics- Planning and Implementation
- Propose and develop strategic outlines to learning agendas / measurement plans
- Oversee program implementation effectively, ensuring measurement goals are met and KPIs are effectively captured
- See long-term implications of insights and recommendations across several channels
- Guide junior team members to build foundational reports, understand data implications, and presentations highlight relevant results and proposed actions
Data Strategy- Systematically identify key issues and objectives to prioritize for internal and client needs and gain necessary buy-in
- Show thought leadership in bringing new, innovative, or different methods of elevating a client's 1) marketing goals or 2) data sophistication and maturity. For example, an Associate Director will be able to synthesize new learnings that may help augment or pivot a client's current strategy.
- Understand how frameworks and analyses drive overall client business strategy
Tools & Techniques- Show mastery of data tools and platforms and techniques
- Ensure statistical concepts are built into appropriate projects, with appropriate code reviews where applicable
- Understand when advanced analytic resources / methods are needed
- Manage/execute vendor assessments
Communication Skills- Effectively guide strategy and issue resolution using clear, thoughtful communication
- Command client audiences and turn presentations into a constructive dialogue
- Cultivate discussion on a broad base of topics and promote junior team members to speak up appropriately
- Frequently lead internal and client discussions, showing ability to pivot as needed
- Structure and prepare well written, logical sections of different styles of deliverables without guidance
- Use clear, concise writing to communicate a compelling story
- Synthesize complex analytical approaches / findings articulately and concisely
Client Engagement- Key client partner to clients
- Help clients see beyond current projects to longer-term opportunities
- Proactively keep the client 'in the loop' on industry trends and recommend projects based on those trends
- Display professional, articulate, and mature presence in all aspects of client relationship building
- Document and respond to client feedback and recognize when to escalate issues or push back on a client
- Gain client buy-in to new projects when needed
- Understand and articulate client strategy
- Sensitive to client needs and concerns and act in the client's best interest
Qualifications- 7-9 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or related roles
- Advanced Python skills for data analysis, modeling, and ML (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.)
- Expert-level SQL for complex data querying and transformation
- Proven experience applying statistical modeling and machine learning techniques in production
- Experience in working with cloud platforms, such as GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.
- Experience with analytic tools, such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with data

Compensation Range: USD $112,290.00 - USD $179,712.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
