  • Own product P&L forecasting and analytics, collaborating with key stakeholders on revenue and cost assumptions.

  • Lead annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning as key finance partner for CMPA teams.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on monthly close processes, including revenue/GTN reconciliations.
  • Work with Commercial and HR on incentive compensation forecasting and performance tracking.
  • Support commercial contracts and profitability analyses, including risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Drive process improvements in forecasting, reporting, and audit readiness for GTN-related activities.

Full Job Description
This role will bring financial rigor and strategic insight to Denali's commercial and lifecycle planning within the Commercial, Medical Affairs, and Patient Advocacy (CMPA) organization. Partnering closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Accounting, the individual in this role translates revenue, cost, and gross-to-net dynamics into forecasts and analyses that inform Board-level and long-range planning decisions. By owning core forecasting models and surfacing actionable insights from sales, pricing, and GTN trends, this position directly shapes how Denali allocates resources and manages risk as its commercial portfolio grows. This position reports to the Executive Director, Head of CMPA Finance. Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities: • Own product P&L forecasting and analysis, partnering with Commercial, Supply Chain, Accounting, and other key stakeholders to align revenue, cost, and other key P&L assumptions and support business reviews, Board meetings, and long-range planning • Own and maintain GTN forecasting model and related analytics, including rebates, chargebacks, discounts, returns, government programs, and channel utilization, in collaboration with Commercial Global Insights & Operations, Government Pricing, Channel Operations, Accounting, and other key stakeholders. • Analyze sales, inventory, pricing and GTN trends, identify forecast variances and provide actionable insights to support commercial strategy and decision-making. • Serve as a strategic finance partner to CMPA teams, leading annual budgets, forecasts, long-range planning, resource prioritization, and other FP&A analyses • Partner with Accounting on monthly and quarterly close, including accruals, open commitments, revenue/GTN reconciliations and preliminary close analysis. • Collaborate with Commercial and HR on incentive compensation forecasting and tracking of actual performance versus plan. • Provide financial support for commercial contracts, customer agreements and distributor economics, including profitability and scenario analysis. • Partner with Supply Chain on S&OP, aligning demand and supply assumptions with financial forecasts and highlighting key risks and opportunities. • Lead special analyses and process improvements, including strengthening forecasting, reporting, controls, audit readiness and coordination of revenue/GTN-related audit requests. Qualifications/Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred • Typically requires 12 years of relevant finance experience, with a significant focus on commercial finance/FP&A and GTN forecasting within biotech/pharmaceutical companies • Commercial launch and early post-launch experience is a plus • Demonstrated experience as a strategic finance business partner in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (product forecasts, P&L, NPV models, etc.) • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical business including drug development and commercialization • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence without authority, and manage complex projects • Strategic thinker with the ability to operate in a capital efficient environment and align financial priorities with business objectives • Superior communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders • Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability • Working knowledge of GAAP revenue accounting principles; SOX experience a plus • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software and systems, such as SAP • Hybrid role that requires on-site SSF presence at least 3 days per week. Salary Range: $159,000.00 to $207,000.00 . Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
