Full Job Description
As our Associate Director, Client Transition Mgr., Prime Brokerage, you will:
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding of hedge fund and institutional clients
  • Work closely alongside the Prime Origination Sales and Product Sales teams, the Transition Manager will engage with clients to gather all their commercial, trading, technical and operational requirements once a new mandate has been won
  • Handle multiple cases simultaneously, working with numerous HSBC teams including but not limited to; Legal, IT, Operations, Trading, Margin, Risk and various Global Markets execution teams to on-board the client in an efficient and timely manner
  • Build and maintain relationships with external clients at all levels including but not limited to CEOs, CIOs, Founders, COOs, CROs, PMs and Head of Operations
  • Provide regular updates and managing client expectations throughout the on-boarding process, the Transition Manager will work with the client towards an agreed go-live deadline
  • Contribute to the profitability and growth of the Prime Brokerage client base by delivering excellent client experience and cross selling the firm's products during the on-boarding process
  • Contribute to the development of HSBC's product and platform by delivering enhancements to meet client requirements & generate revenue is also expected
  • Deliver 'added value' service to clients utilizing industry knowledge to be able to act as trusted advisor
  • Deliverr fair outcomes for our customers, operating with conduct which maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
  • Adhere to local regulatory policies applicable to the job holder, and acting on unusual/unacceptable activity or behaviors and escalating appropriately
  • Be an ambassador for HSBC and the Platforms business, promoting both at every opportunity and trying to win new business as well as maintaining our reputation
  • Ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organization
  • Be responsible for managing and mitigating operational and conduct risks in their day-to-day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structures referred to as the 'Three Lines of Defense'. The job holder should understand their position within Three Lines of Defense and operate within operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure
  • Adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators

You'll likely have the following skills to succeed in this role:
  • This is a front office certified role. The candidate will ideally already hold the necessary qualifications, and if not, would be expected to pass the relevant exams within the allotted timeframes
  • The ideal candidate will have current Prime Brokerage experience, preferably within a front office Client Transition role, and an understanding of the hedge fund landscape
  • Candidates are expected to be highly organized with excellent communication skills, demonstrate an ability to work independently to deadlines and prioritize effectively in a fast moving environment
  • Role requires a detail oriented, process driven approach and ability to co-ordinate and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
