Full Job Description
Posting Description ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, BOARD RELATIONS AND GOVERNANCE, Alumni Association CEO , serves as the operational lead for the MIT Alumni Association (MITAA) Board of Directors and its committees; owns end-to-end Board governance function; leads the planning, content development, coordination, and continuous improvement of Board operations; possesses exceptional writing skills and volunteer leadership skills; aligns with the Association's strategic priorities; works closely with several key stakeholders across the MITAA; leads planning, meeting development, governance administration, committee coordination, and communications while fostering collaboration across departments to ensure the effective operation of the Board throughout the year.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree; a minimum five years of experience in alumni relations, board or volunteer relations, nonprofit administration, or a related field in a university or nonprofit setting; demonstrated experience administering programs or events that serve multiple constituency groups and stakeholders; excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders; strong planning, organizational, project management, and written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment; strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, polished, professionally formatted materials; demonstrated success setting priorities and delivering high-quality work; highly professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information; ability to anticipate scheduling conflicts, content gaps, and potential problems, and proactively recommend solutions; ability to recruit, support, and coordinate volunteers; proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). PREFERRED : Knowledge of Ellucian Advance Web or other enterprise fundraising system and web presentation software such as Zoom; experience working in higher education advancement.

Willingness and ability to travel and work evenings and weekends.

This is a hybrid position with a combination of on-campus and remote work.
