Work Shifts8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.MDuties & ResponsibilitiesPurpose of Position:
Under direction of the Director, Affiliation Administration, administers and monitors major affiliation contracts with hospital, medical schools and professional corporations. In collaboration with the Director, formulates and evaluates programs and projects of the office and supervises the functional programming activities of discrete units or groups directed towards accomplishing the division's objective
Examples of Typical Tasks :
1. Consults with the Director, Affiliation Administration and the Vice President of Medical Operations on matters of administration relating to HHC program priorities and policies.
2. Formulates and develops methods and procedures for monitoring, evaluating and operating of affiliation contracts and administering programs in assigned areas of responsibilities.
3. Supervises health care planners and supporting personnel who are administering routine affiliation contracts.
4. Works with Corporate offices of Budget, Finance, Internal Audits, Planning, Personnel, Health Care Standards, Ambulatory Care, etc. to assure cooperation among all Corporate offices effecting affiliation contracts.
5. Participates with Executive Directors of appropriate HHC hospitals in integrating hospital and affiliation programs.
6. Coordinates with Affiliate Administrators to assure compliance with the goals and objectives of HHC.
7. Advises Director on policy and procedure changes, community problems and development of staff, implementation of productivity goals and makes recommendations for improvement of service.
8. Provides advisory and consultative services concerning affiliation contracts.
9. Prepares special reports reflecting patterns of expenditures, programs and services in the affiliation.
10. Analyzes data and monthly and yearly reports to determine attainment of Corporate goals.
11. Participates in development of policies, standards, rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications1. A Master's Degree in Hospital Administration, Public Health, Health Care Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration or an approved related program, and five years of experience in health, medical service administration or an appropriate functional discipline with emphasis on planning, liaison and inter-organizational relationships, or related administrative or managerial functions; or,
2. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university, and six years experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, business administration, finance or an appropriate functional discipline with emphasis on planning, liaison and interorganizational relationships or related administrative or managerial functions; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience; and,
4. Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication.
Department Preferences- Preference for candidates with three (3) years of full-time experience in finance or healthcare data analysis.
- Knowledge in MS Suite: Microsoft, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, template development, data analysis and summary pivot table reporting, dataset matching, etc.)
- Knowledge in Adobe Acrobat
- Minimal MS Access/Database knowledge helpful, but not required
- Web conferencing software (Cisco WebEx, Zoom, etc.)
