Summary of role

We are seeking an Associate Director of 3PL Operations. As an Associate Director for Cold Chain Pharmaceuticals and Radioactive Pharmaceuticals with a focus on 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) Management, your role will involve a range of responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient handling, storage, and transportation of pharmaceutical products, particularly those requiring temperature control and those classified as radioactive. As the Associate Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations for cold chain and radioactive pharmaceuticals. Your primary focus will be on managing third-party logistics providers to guarantee the integrity and compliance of the supply chain.

This position is based in Massachusetts and requires a presence on-site 3+ days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the cold chain and radioactive pharmaceuticals logistics, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Evaluate market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to enhance logistics strategies.
  2. 3PL Management:
    • Select, negotiate contracts with, and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers.
    • Oversee the performance of 3PL partners to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory compliance, and service level agreements.
  3. Cold Chain Management:
    • Implement and maintain robust processes for the storage, handling, and transportation of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
    • Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other relevant regulations.
  4. Radioactive Pharmaceuticals Management:
    • Develop and implement procedures for the secure handling, transportation, and storage of radioactive pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain quality assurance measures for the entire supply chain, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other departments, including regulatory affairs, quality control, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
  7. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cold chain and radioactive pharmaceutical logistics.
    • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
  8. Continuous Improvement:

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

The pay range for this position is between $139,000 and $232,000 annually.

Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Employees in this position are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive. Benefits for this position include a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Other offerings include life and disability benefits, pre-tax accounts, a 401(k) with company contribution, and a variety of other benefits.
