OverviewAs an Associate General Dentist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care while contributing to the overall success of the practice. You will work collaboratively with our dental team to deliver an exceptional patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence, professionalism, and ethical care.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a variety of dental conditions, including cavities, gum disease, and oral infections
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and preventive treatments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Interpret diagnostic images, including X-rays, to assess oral health and identify potential concerns
- Provide restorative and general dental procedures within the scope of licensure and clinical training
- Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Collaborate with specialists when appropriate for complex cases and referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and clinical notes
- Communicate treatment plans, procedures, and post-operative care instructions clearly and effectively to patients
- Address patient questions and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
- Adhere to infection control, safety, HIPAA, and other applicable protocols and regulations
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence, professionalism, and ethical conduct
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry and evidence-based clinical practices
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture and the overall success of the practice
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school
- Current and valid state dental license
- Previous experience in general dentistry practice preferred
- Strong clinical skills in general dentistry procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Demonstrated professionalism and ethical conduct
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
