Full Job Description
KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Cyber Operations to join our Digital Security team.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies across endpoints, cloud platforms, and collaboration tools to safeguard firm and client confidential data
  • Drive end-to-end DLP incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution in coordination with legal, risk, compliance, and client-facing teams
  • Perform threat hunting, incident mitigation, and the identification of environmental weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance
  • Translate emerging industry trends into new preventive and detective controls, and mentor cybersecurity personnel through knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Develop comprehensive cybersecurity playbooks, reference guides, and agentic capabilities
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in an analytical heavy field requiring exploring, as well as understanding data; communicating data as a story to influence and persuade
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED required
  • Experience creating workflows, playbooks, and procedures or similar documentation
  • Ideal applicants will have exposure to security monitoring, security operations, or cybersecurity incident response, preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment
  • Ability to quickly learn security products, tools, and processes to assist in advancing the firm's security posture
  • Interest in pursuing professional certifications or vendor specific products, and developing agentic workflows for the role is required
  • Understanding of IT security concepts, including networking and related technologies; hands-on experience (such as intern college lab experience) performing related activities or analytical problem solving
