Business Overview:

The Corporate Solutions Sales team works with corporate and financial sponsor clients to advise them on best practices across global markets products with a focus on interest rate and foreign exchange products. The desk advises clients on risk management solutions that provide for optimal balance sheet, cash flow, earnings and fund related needs. The candidate should have and will develop skills in foreign exchange, interest rate, and other global markets products with the ability to support the origination of and execute transactions in this product set. Working closely in a team environment for collective objectives is essential.

Responsibilities:

The Corporate Derivative Solutions Sales team covers corporations and financial sponsors to originate and deliver rates/FX solutions. Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in covering and growing BNPP's corporate franchise, particularly with key clients in the TMT portfolio (Technology, Media, Telecom)
  • Working with partners in Corporate & Investment Banking Coverage, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Finance, Sales & Trading, XVA, and Legal/Risk/KYC in delivering risk management solutions to clients
  • Supporting senior salespeople and providing secondary coverage on all accounts
  • Preparation of client marketing content including presentations, analyses, pricing, and other thought pieces
  • Monitoring market news and events and formulating ideas and opportunities for clients
  • Pricing and execution of hedging transactions (swaps, options, FX forwards, etc.) and deal-related risks (VaR, XVA, etc.)
  • Client onboarding and ongoing administration: Working with KYC, Regs, Legal, Credit, Risk, and related teams to on-board and service clients through entire client life cycle
  • Working with BNPP middle-/back-office to support applicable client requests and operational needs
  • Role requires familiarity with accounting, regulatory, capital treatment of products as well as liquidity, trade life cycle and downstream systems
  • Maintaining open communication with team and direct line management to resolve risk and P&L discrepancies
  • Attending relevant regulatory and product/skill training and keep up-to-date with market issues.
  • Understanding and valuing all business and transaction related risks, including market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, regulatory and reputation risks

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Strong quantitative skills: Mathematical proficiency is key
  • Communication skills: Oral and written communication skills are highly valued
  • Ability to prioritize: Essential in a fast-paced work environment with evolving priorities
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy of work is of utmost importance
  • Technical skills: Excel and PowerPoint proficiency is critical
  • Self-motivation: Ability to work well under high level of autonomy, and being able to get up to speed quickly on new concepts, procedures, and products
  • Work collaboratively with Trading, Sales and Structuring teams
  • Comfortable working full days in high energy, dynamic, and demanding environment
  • Applicants should be degree educated and highly numerate
  • Prior experience servicing corporations (esp. in the Technology, Media, Telecom vertical) preferred
  • Advanced Excel (+VB and related programming languages to extend) + Bloomberg proficiency would be beneficial

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $210,000 to $325,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
