JOB DESCRIPTION

Be at the center of global EM credit markets—providing liquidity, managing risk, and partnering with Sales and Research to deliver client solutions.

Job summary

You will join the New York EM Credit Trading Desk within a leading Emerging Markets Credit franchise, acting as a market maker across EM sovereign and corporate bonds. You will manage inventory risk, run books, and collaborate closely with Sales and Research to generate ideas, deliver market color, and support client execution across a broad set of EM credit products.

Job responsibilities

  • Market make in EM Sovereign and Corporate bond.
  • Monitor and manage risk for existing trade inventory across cash books
  • Run books and develop risk management solutions aligned to market conditions and desk objectives
  • Partner with Sales to provide axes, market color, and trade ideas for clients
  • Collaborate with Sales and Research to generate investment ideas and support those ideas with secondary market liquidity
  • Contribute to effective controls and disciplined risk practices consistent with internal policies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven credit trading experience (cash preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of Emerging Markets credit (sovereign and corporate)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk, liquidity, and relative value quickly
  • Clear, confident communication skills across Trading, Sales, and broader stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an analytical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, or similar)
