About the RoleThe interdisciplinary Privacy and Cyber practice group is seeking highly qualified associates with a minimum of four (4) years of privacy experience to join the team. Our global group represents leading clients across industries and of all sizes to help them through complex data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues in high-profile and cutting-edge compliance and transactional matters. Applicants should have a mix of experience with product counseling, commercial contracts, and corporate transactional work in relation to data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI issues. The ideal candidates will have counselled clients on compliance with privacy, cyber, and AI laws, negotiated these components of commercial agreements, and handled all privacy, security, and AI components of corporate transactions (including M&A deals, IPOs, etc.). Candidates must have excellent drafting and negotiation skills, as well as superior verbal and interpersonal skills, and not only be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, but also proactively lead on driving matters forward with minimal supervision. An aptitude for technology and an understanding of how online and AI technologies work is strongly preferred. CIPP certification would also be a plus.
