The Commercial Practice specializes in the following project types: Brand strategy; brand positioning, value proposition and brand story development; disease area and portfolio strategy; life cycle management planning; new product planning; launch excellence; competitor strategy; workshop facilitation; and strategic customer research.
About the opportunity
As an Associate Consultant, you will support the delivery of high-quality, insight-led strategy projects for global biopharma clients, developing your skills across research, analysis and strategic communication under the guidance of senior colleagues.

Key responsibilities
Strategic Project Delivery
3Support delivery of commercial strategy projects across the product life cycle, under the direction of senior team members
3Conduct literature searches and critically review, extract and summarise relevant evidence
3Help translate research and evidence into clear insights, with guidance from senior colleagues
3Support landscape assessments, analog research and policy analysis to inform client strategy
3Build up internal knowledge of the relevant areas of commercial strategy and trends worldwide
3Contribute to the preparation of client deliverables, reports and presentations
3Support logistical and planning tasks, including helping to coordinate stakeholder interviews and arrange meetings with external stakeholders
3Help manage own tasks and timelines to support delivery against client expectations
3Collaborate effectively with project teams across multiple workstreams
Client Engagement
3Support day-to-day communication with clients, as directed by senior team members
3Begin to build working relationships with client stakeholders
3Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, insight-driven outputs
3Participate in client meetings, workshops and presentations
Business Development Support
3Support development of project proposals and pitch materials
3Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
3Work closely with colleagues across Medical, Values, Pricing and Access, and Competitive Strategy practices
3Contribute to integrated, cross-functional client solutions
3Collaborate with senior team members to support strategic recommendations

Essential skills and experience
3A minimum of 12 months experience overall
3Some experience or exposure to commercial strategy or healthcare, gained through academic study, an internship, or previous employment (desirable)
3Experience researching complex information and summarising findings into slides or reports, whether through academic study or work experience (essential)
3Basic understanding of, or strong interest in learning about:
3Drug development and commercialization, including the launch process
3Drug marketing strategy including brand planning at a regional and global level
3Exposure to or interest in oncology, rare diseases or specialty therapeutics (desirable)
3Strong analytical and research skills with an ability to read, understand and summarise complex information
3Good written and verbal communication skills
3Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines, with support from senior colleagues
3Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
3Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
3Education: BA/BS required this should include life sciences, possibly with a business/marketing component; postgraduate qualification in a health-related field or life sciences is a plus, but not required

The annual full-time base salary range for this role is ($85,000 - $95,000). Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines. Prescient offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies.
