Full Job Description
Clyde & Co seeks an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney with 1-4 years of experience. This practice represents and advises national and international insurers in a broad range of coverage cases across the Unites States, including a wide range of complex insurance coverage matters, principally involving pollution, toxic tort, asbestos, construction defect, products liability, errors and omissions, and excess liability.

This position is currently open to our New Jersey and New York offices.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Drafting pleadings and briefs
  • Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients
  • Analyzing insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage recommendations for clients
  • Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis
  • Drafting interrogatories and document demands
  • Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation
  • Attending depositions, hearings, and mediations as required
  • Submitting filings to the court


Education and Experience
  • J.D./LLM
  • Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, additional admissions a plus
  • Insurance coverage and litigation experience
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • 1 year of clerkship preferred

The salary range for this position is $140,000-180,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
