Full Job Description
This position will be responsible for the resolution of low complexity and low exposure claims and provide support to other team members as directed. This position will work closely with their manager to train and develop fundamental claims handling skills.
Job Responsibilities:
• Investigate moderate to complex claims as reported and determine injured worker’s eligibility for workers’ compensation benefits
• Administers indemnity and medical benefits for valid workers’ compensation claims
• Manage the progression of the claims process through collaboration with physicians, nurses, attorneys and other parties as needed
• Determine if subrogation exists and takes the steps necessary to initiate recovery efforts
• All file handling must be within state statutes, client claims handling guidelines, and best practices
Qualifications:
• Must have or be willing to obtain CA claims handling certification
• 0 - 2 years experience handling insurance or medical claims.
• High school diploma required. Prefer Associates degree.

Pay information:
The salary range for this position is$26.10 - $54.36. The posted salary range reflects the lowest and highest base salary applicable to this role across our U.S. locations. Individual offers are determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors. As a result, the salary offered for a specific location will fall within a narrower range than the overall range displayed in this posting. This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive plan.
