As an associate brand manager, Starbucks Merchandise, you will be part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team. We are responsible for the strategy, creation and bringing to market of innovative merchandise for our US locations. This role supports the commercialization of promotional products of our Merchandise portfolio, as well as key strategic initiatives. As an associate product manager, Starbucks Merchandise, you will...

Business Management
  • Supports development of recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, placement, and promotional cadence.
  • Assists in researching emerging trends and other primary and secondary forms of research with fact-based business insights to create sound strategic recommendations. Uses data and insights to tell a logical and compelling story.
  • Assists in development of business case for new programs to support growth strategies and profitability targets.
  • Assists in pricing strategy and analysis.
  • Represent Merchandise Team in cross-functional meetings, including Marketing, planning , and operations meetings.


Commercialization
  • Supports Merchandise commercialization process working closely with our New Product Introduction cross-functional team, including feasibility, operational, and product development reviews
  • Assists in writing and development of product briefs for new merchandise, with a lens on customer, need-states, and business opportunity
  • Assists in inputs for planning, forecasting, naming, marketing, pricing, and costing.


Go-To-Market (or each promotion across multiple store formats)
  • Supports delivery of products for each promotion, including product direction, backgrounders for marketing and store operations and input into supply chain requirements.
  • Manage promotional inputs and multiple reviews for in-store signage
  • Manages product signage for all stores/markets.
  • Provides inputs and reviews partner training materials, including educational and training videos for field partner

We'd love to hear from people with:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role supporting marketing, brand management, product management, commercialization, or operations
  • Strong analytical/reporting skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to navigate change and ambiguity
  • Previous experience working in merchandise product development and/or visual merchandising preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of project leadership experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive analytical experience in product or marketing preferred

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
