About the RoleAs our practice continues to expand on the West Coast, we are seeking a driven associate with 3-6 years of experience in business litigation. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to build their practice, gain hands-on experience, and work closely with experienced litigators on high-stakes matters-without the expectation of bringing a portable book of business.
Key Responsibilities- Represent corporate and individual clients in complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, fraud, trade secrets, partnership/shareholder matters, and unfair competition claims
- Support all phases of litigation from pre-litigation evaluation through trial or resolution
- Draft and argue motions, manage written discovery, and take and defend depositions
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
- Provide practical, business-focused legal analysis and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and client development
Qualifications- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- 3-6 years of experience in business/commercial litigation
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Admission to practice in California
Salary RangeStarting at $200,000 + per year. Actual compensation will depend on years of experience and qualifications.
