Established (10+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Public Agency Litigation and Advisory Practice in Sacramento or San Francisco, CA
An established California-based firm with over 10 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5+ years of litigation or public agency experience to join its Public Law and Litigation practice in Sacramento or San Francisco, CA. This Associate will work with cities, counties, special districts, and nonprofit entities on complex and high-impact matters involving public governance, labor and employment, and constitutional law. The firm is widely recognized for its leadership in local government representation and its commitment to public service.
Offer:
Salary range: $115,000-$145,000 depending on experience

Qualifications:
2-5+ years of litigation or public agency advisory experience
Active California Bar membership in good standing (or eligibility for admission)
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Experience with public sector issues such as open meetings, labor relations, or administrative law preferred
Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and efficiency
Commitment to public service and working with government clients
Responsibilities:
Handling a caseload of public law and litigation matters for cities, counties, and special districts
Drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions in state and federal court
Researching and advising clients on public agency compliance, employment, and constitutional issues
Supporting investigations, depositions, and trial preparation under senior attorney supervision
Collaborating with attorneys and clients to develop strategies that advance community-focused outcomes
