Description

Associate Attorney Specializing In Defamation

Protect Reputations. Fight Back Against Online Attacks.

If you became an attorney to stand up for people when they're being targeted, attacked, or publicly damaged - this is where that work happens.

We are a fast-growing defamation and internet law firm representing individuals, professionals, and businesses facing serious online harm - from cyberbullying to reputational attacks.

We are hiring an Associate Attorney who wants more than passive legal work. This role is for someone ready to take action. Not someday. Now.

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $80.00 to $120,000
  • Performance-based bonus structure
  • Clear path to increased compensation based on results and contribution

We reward output, ownership, and results.

Why This Role Matters

The clients we serve aren't dealing with minor inconveniences.

They're dealing with:
  • Damaged reputations
  • Lost opportunities
  • Public attacks that follow them everywhere

What we do directly impacts their lives, careers, and futures.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do
• Handle defamation and online harm cases from intake through resolution
• Draft complaints, motions, and demand letters
• Work directly with clients facing real reputational damage
• Address matters involving:
• Cyberbullying (school, college, sorority, fraternity)
• Anonymous online attacks and harassment
• Defamatory blog and forum content
• Online reviews and business defamation
• Dark web-related reputational issues
• Privacy violations and First Amendment-related disputes
• Develop case strategy and move matters forward aggressively

This is hands-on, meaningful legal work - not back-office support.

Qualifications

Who You Are
• Licensed attorney in good standing
• 1-5 years of experience preferred (litigation or writing-heavy roles ideal)
• Strong legal writer - clear, precise, persuasive
• Comfortable handling sensitive, high-stakes client situations
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Able to manage multiple matters without losing focus
• Driven to protect clients and hold bad actors accountable
• Member of the New York and New Jersey bar. New Jersey bar alone will be considered

You don't need to know everything about defamation law.
But you do need to be sharp, disciplined, and ready to learn fast.
