MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) is seeking Associate Attorneys to join our growing litigation team in any of our California office locations: Irvine, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Walnut Creek. We are seeking attorneys with a minimum of three (3) years of defense litigation experience in Construction Defect, General Liability, Product Liability, or related civil litigation matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Handle local and national accounts throughout the State of California.
- Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
- Review and analyze discovery requests and responses.
- Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, motions, and other litigation filings.
- Take lead roles in plaintiff and expert witness depositions.
- Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
- Collaborate with partners, clients, and team members to develop case strategy.
- Maintain accurate and timely billing and time records.
Candidate Requirements- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas:
- Construction Defect
- General Liability
- Product Liability
- Other comparable civil defense litigation experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in California and in good standing.
- Experience handling all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
