About the Role

The Associate Attorney will represent clients in a variety of automotive liability and insurance defense matters. This position is ideal for an attorney with 2-5 years of litigation experience who is looking to expand their practice while working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload involving automotive liability and insurance defense matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
  • Prepare and respond to written discovery
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit organization
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers
  • Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 2-5 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
  • Automotive liability defense experience preferred
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
