About the RoleThe Associate Attorney will represent clients in a variety of automotive liability and insurance defense matters. This position is ideal for an attorney with
2-5 years of litigation experience who is looking to expand their practice while working alongside an experienced team in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Manage a caseload involving automotive liability and insurance defense matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies
- Prepare and respond to written discovery
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation and exhibit organization
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance carriers
- Maintain compliance with court deadlines and client reporting requirements
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management
Qualifications- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 2-5 years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
- Automotive liability defense experience preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience handling hearings, depositions, and motion practice
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment
