Job Description Summary
Organization's Summary Statement: The Associate Athletic Director for Revenue Marketing & Business Intelligence drives data-informed marketing strategies that convert fan and donor engagement into increased revenue, attendance, retention, and database growth. This role designs targeted, multi-channel campaigns for ticketing, premium seating, the Terrapin Club, and donor initiatives by aligning inventory, pricing, audience analytics, and creative execution across key internal and external stakeholders, including a close strategic partnership with the Legends sales team.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Athletics Director / Chief Revenue Officer, this position leverages data-driven insights, pricing strategies, consumer analytics, and CRM management to drive overall revenue growth, maximize attendance, and optimize premium performance. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and assigned gameday/event coverage.

Physical Demands: The position requires prolonged sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to operate standard office equipment with manual dexterity. The role involves occasional standing or walking to attend meetings or conduct orientations and may require lifting light office materials (up to 20 pounds). Visual acuity and effective verbal and auditory communication are essential for reviewing critical data and interacting with employees in person, by phone, or virtually.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. 

Experience: Eight (8) years of experience in an athletics or higher education setting. Three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administrative structure and responsibilities. 

Knowledge of best practices in supervision and communication.  

Skill in oral and written communication.

Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.

Ability to multitask and prioritize within unit and department environment as well manage large-scale athletics-related projects.   

Additional Job Details

Preferences

  • Experience in Power 4 intercollegiate athletics, professional sports, live entertainment, ticketing, hospitality, or another consumer revenue business, including knowledge of intercollegiate athletics administrative structures.
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, digital advertising platforms, and business intelligence/analytics tools.
  • Experience developing customer acquisition, segmentation, lifecycle, retention, and direct-to-consumer revenue strategies (ticket sales, premium seating, fundraising, membership).
  • Demonstrated experience managing meaningful paid-media budgets and evaluating return on marketing investment (ROMI).
