Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or optics plus 3+ years of related experience, or a graduate degree with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience in the design and testing of scientific instrumentation.
• Strong understanding of optical principles.
• Familiarity with spaceflight hardware, electro-optical systems, or hardware systems engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred leadership experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to create new technologies and laser systems for military and space uses.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Develop and maintain technical requirements documentation and databases.
• Manage tracking and verification of technical requirements.
• Oversee the management of critical technical resources like mass and power.
• Create test plans and take part in executing tests.
• Document internal and external system interfaces thoroughly.
• Lead special projects on behalf of program management as directed.
