Job Description

The Corporate Actuarial team is seeking an energetic individual who is eager to contribute to the transformation of actuarial reporting analytics and capabilities. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining reporting tools, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks that support U.S. Life business analysis across all reporting bases, including US Statutory, US GAAP, IFRS, Solvency II, and internal economic value metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of reporting analytic tools such as leadership dashboard on the technical cashflow projection and BI illustration of how actual experiences are emerging, etc.
  • Support the development of reporting tools to help deepen our understanding of entire suite of reserving metrics under IFRS17 (PVFCF, CSM and RA) and Solvency II (Own fund walk, Solvency Ratio, SCR, RM)
  • Partner and feedback the business teams to leverage economic value reporting insights through the development and delivery of client analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Address requests from senior management of SCOR US Life and assist the senior management team in understanding how the financials would evolve in the future and/or under certain scenarios
  • Support and advocate a culture of learning and innovation within the team to deliver and enhance tools, processes, and metrics that advance the understanding of our business and optimize the team's efficiencies
  • Serve as Financial Development Partner by recommending and working closely on model and process development, improvements and enhancements for actuarial reporting
  • Provide support and liaise with group and business unit functions for Group reporting topics
  • Surge support for the actuarial reporting & analysis work where needed, such as annual capital model runs, etc.
  • Support the development and implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives and special assignments as required
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Associateship of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience within insurance or reinsurance, with direct involvement in valuation, reserving, or economic value analysis.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial valuation concepts, cash flow based modeling, and assumption development.
  • Hands on experience with IFRS, Solvency II, LDTI, PBR, or other economic value / insurance finance frameworks.
  • Experience interpreting and explaining model results, movements, and sensitivities to non actuarial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, actuarial systems, BI tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a cross functional, fast paced environment.
  • Experience supporting audit, governance, and regulatory review processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex actuarial topics clearly and concisely

Pay Range for roles performed in NC: $106,000-$129,500 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives.
