Job Description

Our Value Chain Management (VCM) organization is seeking a motivated Associate Modelling Analyst to join our team. As an Associate Modelling Analyst, you will support VCM teams across the Small Molecule, Vaccines, and Biologics operating units by contributing to data modelling, analytics, and decision-support activities that help inform supply chain strategy and operational planning.

VCM is accountable for our Company's Manufacturing Division product strategy aligned with Manufacturing Division and Global Human Health brand/franchise goals and for leading continuous improvement of the product supply chain.

VCM work is strategic, spanning the entire product lifecycle, balancing the needs of the current business through appropriate risk management while designing future supply chain capabilities. This role provides an opportunity to apply analytics and technical skills in a highly collaborative environment while building knowledge of supply chain processes, business operations, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with VCM Leads and cross-functional teams to understand business processes and translate defined needs into data and analytics tasks.
  • Build, validate, maintain, and document components of analytics and operations research solutions using established methods, templates, and development standards.
  • Support network capacity and supply chain models in Python through data preparation, parameter management, scenario execution, results validation, and documentation.
  • Develop analyses, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Spotfire to support business decision making.
  • Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources while maintaining data quality and traceability.
  • Contribute to process standardization efforts by following established SOPs, templates, coding standards, and best practices while identifying opportunities for incremental improvement.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Technology, Quality, CMC, and VCM teams to gather inputs, communicate findings, and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Manage assigned work to meet timelines and project objectives while operating within established guidelines and seeking guidance on non-standard situations.
  • Contribute as a member of project teams or workstreams and may coordinate discrete tasks or small deliverables under the direction of a project lead.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Supply Chain, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Approximately 0-2 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain Analytics, Strategic Analysis, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to routine and moderately complex business questions using established methods and tools.
  • Proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language.
  • Experience querying databases using SQL.
  • Understanding of relational databases and data structures.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with structured datasets.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain analyses and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with at least one analytics or visualization platform such as Power BI, Qlik, or Spotfire.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 tools.


Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver.
  • Familiarity with Long Range Operations Planning (LROP) or supply planning concepts.
  • Exposure to version control tools such as Git and GitHub.
  • Introductory knowledge of Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
  • Coursework or experience involving mathematical modelling, optimization, simulation, statistics, or linear algebra.
  • Exposure to cross-functional business environments involving Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, Technology, Quality, Regulatory, or Commercial Operations.
  • Interest in applying analytics and modelling techniques to support supply chain and operational decision making.
