Position Purpose:The Data and Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role on the Data Analytics team - contributing to Benchmark Education's evolving efforts to use data and metadata to manage its growing enterprise.and connect with users and potential users around the world. The successful candidate will deliver data quality and reporting services that provide critical support to day-to-day sales, marketing, and other operations, and they will help evolve the next generation of Data Analytics capabilities at Benchmark Education.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs and create clear statements identifying problems and requirements
- Analyze user needs, data, and business process to model the complete lifecycle of data elements within the Benchmark technology ecosystem
- Identify, gather, clean, organize, and analyze product metadata and business data
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data marts that meet user needs for reports and exports
- Contribute to development of advanced analytics models leveraging statistical and AI-based techniques
- Tell effective stories about business processes through data visualization
- Support suppliers and users of data, reports, and analysis
Job Requirements:- 2-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or data engineering
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency using SQL with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres)
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools including Power BI
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Proficiency reverse engineering data (patterns, structures) to infer logical relationships and quickly identify inconsistencies
- Functional understanding of advanced analytics models that leverage statistical and AI-based techniques
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with advanced statistics, information science, or machine learning
- Working understanding of Master Data Management techniques and tools
- Experience with metadata standards and procedures in the publishing industry
- Experience with ERP tools and processes
- Experience with project management and implementation of best practices
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
