This Opportunity

Provides leadership within a sector of organization to ensure Advisory Services subject matter, technical deliverables, infrastructure projects and programs are delivered with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry and company standards for design, safety, and functionality. Responsible for SME innovation and administration, ensuring corporate compliance with all Local, State, and Federal engineering, construction, financial, and safety regulations, and providing pragmatic direction to address current and future challenges in a rapidly-changing and complex business climate.
Your Impact
  • Lead Advisory Services projects within the company, ensuring contributors know what they are required to do and by when, preparing and overseeing relevant project budgets, monitoring internal and external events, tracking hours and expenses, ensuring satisfactory performance and profitability, and supervising subcontractors, external stakeholders, contract work, and employees.
  • Lead by example with fostering and providing "trusted advisor" service and future-ready solutions for clients.
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in the development of project deliverables, including feasibility studies, reports and recommendations.
  • Provide high level strategic advice to clients; lead client presentations, and client and team meetings.
  • Support the management of projects to ensure profitable performance and their successful completion. Support the overall long-term strategy, growth, and pipeline development of Advisory Service's work for WSP in assigned area of responsibility, with a focus on social infrastructure opportunities in transportation, and buildings.
  • Support development of an internal vision and mission for the Social Infrastructure discipline within Advisory Services, ensuring alignment with business operations strategy, and maintaining that reputation and client value ratings are continuously improved.
  • Assist with the preparation of an annual update to business tactical action plans within the specified area.
  • Support, and at times lead Advisory Services Social Infrastructure discipline meetings and continuing educational opportunities for area of responsibility, providing updates and recommendations to staff that ensure all appropriate measures are taken to foster innovation, development, and quality project delivery within the discipline.
  • Serve as an Advisory Services representative/liaison to a variety of external entities including Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Subcontractors, industry-related groups, and various government and community entities.
  • Support, and when able provide leadership, for proposals for the Advisory Services Social Infrastructure discipline.
  • Develop business contacts and a client base for providing Advisory Services including identifying additional business development opportunities, marketing, proposals, and cross-selling of other WSP capabilities.
  • Remain current in latest management consulting and advisory services techniques and practices.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or closely related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant post education experience in directly relevant endeavors
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills to effectively, persuasively, and tactfully interact with clients and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic lateral thinking and strong analytical skills with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, clients, and company-wide staff, including those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship exists.
  • Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in relevant field
  • Well developed state of the art experience with development and delivery of social infrastructure and real estate projects,
  • Proficient in financial analysis of real estate projects.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $143,800 - $200,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
