This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Vice President, Management Consultancy in our Transaction and Delivery Strategy group. The right individual can be based at any major city in the United States.
Your Impact

Guiding infrastructure owners through the planning, delivery and operation of major infrastructure projects. The Assistant Vice President will advise owners (public and private) on methods of project development and the financing of capital projects, with an emphasis on alternative delivery methods.
  • Strategizing with agencies and project owners to evaluate project delivery methods and determine the optimal method to fit the owner's needs.
  • Serve as a project leader, interfacing with project owners to determine the goals and constraints for the implementation of their projects.
  • Developing procurement strategies and drafting of procurement documents for alternative delivery projects, including, for example, Requests for Information, Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Proposals.
  • Advising public agencies and private clients through the procurement process to engage an entity to design, construct, operate, and maintain a capital asset, including in the drafting of evaluation criteria and evaluation strategies.
  • Developing risk profiles for projects, which includes drafting risk matrices that identify critical risks, facilitating and attending risk workshops, and evaluating the allocation of identified risks for project delivery.
  • Collaborating in a teaming environment with other members of project teams for the successful procurement of alternative delivery projects, including supporting communications with, and providing appropriate technical advice to engineers, investment bankers, financial analysts, legal counsel, and internal-client procurement teams.
  • Advise clients and recommend strategies regarding compliance with Federal requirements, including those arising from Federal grant and project financing programs including programs.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in relevant field
  • 10+ years' experience in directly relevant endeavors
  • Experience with infrastructures in at least one sector: transportation, water, power and energy, or social infrastructure
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Authorization to immediately work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in relevant field (M.A., M.S., J.D., M.B.A., Ph. D)
  • 10+ years of direct experience with public sector procurement review and contracting and advising local, state and federal agencies
  • Direct experience with alternative delivery methods including progressive design-build
  • Knowledge and application of federal environmental law, regulations, programs, processes, and grant administration and compliance

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $122,700 - $218,680

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $122,700 - $182,270
