Assistant Vice President, Growth and Strategy - Professional Services PracticeJoin Aon's North America Professional Services Practice ("PSP") as an Assistant Vice President on our Growth and Strategy team, supporting our continued expansion across law firms, accounting firms, and consulting firms. This role partners closely with practice leadership, account executives, brokers, and other colleagues to nurture and grow client relationships, connect PSP's client base to Aon's full suite of Risk Capital and Human Capital solutions, and drive thought leadership that differentiates Aon in the professional services market. Being able to work collaboratively as part of a small, high-impact team is vital.
This is a hybrid role and will require you to work out of our New York City office on average 3 days a week.
What the day will look like- Collaborate with colleagues to support existing professional services clients and win new ones, coordinating multidisciplinary teams across Risk, Health, Wealth, and Talent.
- Envision the current and future needs of the professional services industry and work with relevant Aon businesses to develop and position solutions that address them.
- Lead and support the production of benchmarking reports, white papers, surveys, and other publications covering issues relevant to the professional services industry.
- Lead the preparation of sales documents, presentations, and RFP responses for prospective new clients, arranging and participating in meetings as needed.
- Support PSP business operations, including managing client and prospect lists, tracking opportunities in the pipeline, and reporting on performance.
- Develop rapport with senior leaders at professional services firms, insurance markets, and other key trading partners.
- Provide support and oversight for special events and other business development activities that may be planned from time to time.
- Take on PSP committee assignments and advance other PSP and firmwide initiatives, as directed by leadership.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
Skills and experience that will lead to success- Minimum three years of relevant experience supporting professional services (or similar) clients in a comparable growth, strategy, consulting, broking, underwriting, or other client-facing insurance role.
- Understanding of the professional services verticals (law, accounting, and consulting firms)-their business and people needs, key risks, buying style, and economic outlook-or a demonstrated aptitude to learn them quickly.
- Familiarity with the value proposition of Aon's Risk Capital and Human Capital capabilities and solution lines is an asset.
- Track record of building long-term, remunerative client relationships and partnering across teams to advance shared business goals.
- Strong business, analytical, technical, and writing skills.
- Good communication skills; ability to listen and work successfully in a team.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure with significant attention to detail.
- Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Education- Bachelor's degree in equivalent years of industry experience
- Active Property & Casualty License or willingness to obtain one within 120 days of hire

Pay Transparency LawsThe salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $95,000 to $125,235 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
