Join our Amwins Brokerage team in Chicago as Assistant Vice President!This position is in-office.
None of our positions are commission based or involve cold calling.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:- Serves as a point of communication with the Production Team, including providing coverage and program design advice and expertise
- Provides brokers with knowledge about markets and products as they relate to classes of business
- Assists Broker in client and underwriter meetings as requested
- Assists Broker in leadership of the Production Team serving as a first line of defense in administrative matters as well as production/servicing needs
- Prepares and submits proposals to carriers for complex or hard-to-place accounts
- Negotiates with carriers for the best program for clients
- Oversees preparation of draft proposals
- Oversees preparation and finalization of Carrier and Client coverage confirmations
- Maintains strong relationships with key carriers in the Strategic Market
- Assists in the training of Associate Brokers and Marketing Brokers
We are looking for people with: - Comprehensive knowledge of specialized field or area, sometimes acquired through a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 7 years of job-related experience
- Must have current P&C license
- Transportation experience preferred, but not required
- Excess casualty experience preferred
- Developed understanding of risk selection and coverage
- Knowledge of principles and methods involved in selling services including marketing strategies and tactics and sales techniques
- Ability to travel when necessary

$115,000-$115,000 USD
