About the Role

The Assistant Superintendent supports the onsite Superintendent and Assistant Project Manager by coordinating the day-to-day field operations of multifamily renovation and redevelopment projects. This role is responsible for overseeing subcontractor activity, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting schedule adherence. The Assistant Superintendent plays a hands-on role in maintaining project momentum, field documentation, and collaboration with property operations teams to minimize disruption to residents.

What You'll Do

Construction Oversight

• Supervise subcontractors and enforce safety and quality standards
• Maintain site drawings and equipment inventory

Coordination & Communication

• Schedule work with property teams and vendors
• Keep Superintendent informed and liaise with external stakeholders

Documentation

• Maintain daily logs and assist with payment reviews
• Support documentation from startup to closeout

Pre-Construction Support

• Assist with due diligence and mock-up planning
• Participate in pre-construction meetings

What You'll Need

Education and Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• First Aid and CPR Certification (preferred)
• OSHA Certification (preferred)

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in multifamily construction or redevelopment

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Familiar with construction plans and specifications
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors
• Flexible and willing to travel to job sites as needed
• Commitment to safety, schedule adherence, and quality workmanship

Estimated Rate of Pay:
$77,043.48 - $100,156.52
This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary.

The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
