About the role

CD Peacock is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Director to help lead the Oak Brook Mansion and deliver exceptional business, client, and team results. This role supports daily operations, sales performance, client development, associate engagement, and a consistently elevated luxury experience.

As a visible leader on the sales floor, the Assistant Store Director sets clear expectations, coaches associates, resolves client and operational issues, and helps ensure the Mansion is prepared to meet business needs. This position is a key member of the Oak Brook Mansion Leadership Team and participates in Manager on Duty responsibilities.

What you'll do
Store Leadership Responsibilities

  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned.
  • Open and close the Oak Brook Mansion in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure all opening, closing, security, cash handling, and operational standards are followed.
  • Maintain a visible, professional leadership presence throughout the store.
  • Ensure proper staffing, floor coverage, and leadership support during assigned shifts.
  • Respond to client service issues, associate concerns, and operational matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support customer service recovery and escalated client concerns.
  • Communicate business priorities, operational updates, and leadership expectations to associates.
  • Support store events, vendor activations, private appointments, and client experiences.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and luxury service.

Business Performance & Sales Leadership

  • Partner with the Sales Director to achieve sales plans, service goals, and overall business objectives.
  • Monitor daily business performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
  • Support sales professionals with client opportunities, product presentations, appointments, and closing strategies.
  • Review sales, client, and operational trends and develop action plans to address opportunities.
  • Help establish performance expectations and maintain accountability for results.
  • Support initiatives that drive customer acquisition, retention, repeat business, and referrals.

Client Experience & Brand Leadership

  • Ensure every client receives a personalized, elevated, and consistent CD Peacock experience.
  • Model relationship selling, hospitality, professionalism, and luxury service standards.
  • Support VIP clients, major sales opportunities, private appointments, and special client requests.
  • Partner with CRM and Marketing teams to strengthen client engagement and event participation.
  • Protect and promote CD Peacock's brand standards throughout all client-facing interactions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach and develop Sales Professionals and store associates through regular feedback, observation, and one-on-one conversations.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and talent development initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership on performance management, associate engagement, and accountability efforts.
  • Identify development opportunities and support succession planning.
  • Foster collaboration across sales, operations, repairs, CRM, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Lead by example and create an environment where associates feel supported, informed, and accountable.

Operations & Store Standards

  • Partner with operations leadership to ensure store readiness, inventory integrity, security compliance, and efficient workflows.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, safety standards, and asset-protection practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and luxury-focused environment throughout the Mansion.
  • Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with the Store Leadership Team, Brand Managers, Operations, CRM, Marketing, and Corporate teams to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with fellow leaders to ensure alignment on priorities, communication, and execution.
  • Support company initiatives, strategic priorities, and organizational goals.
  • Represent CD Peacock with professionalism and sound judgment at all times.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in luxury retail, specialty retail, hospitality, or a comparable client-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and driving sales, service, and client development results.
  • Strong coaching, performance management, and talent development skills.
  • Exceptional client service, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret performance data and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-service environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Luxury retail, jewelry, or watch industry experience preferred.
  • GIA/AJP certification preferred but not required.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.

The pay range for this role is:

100,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Oakbrook Center)
