Assistant Program Director, Teen Line (Olympic Suicide Prevention Center)

This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be local to Southern California with the ability to travel to Century City, CA as needed.

The salary for the position is between $86,031-$98,936 annually.

Summary

As an Assistant Program Director, you will partner with the Senior Director to lead the operations and clinical integrity of Teen Line. You will support program management, guide daily operations, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality, mission-driven services that meet organizational and clinical standards.

Primary Duties

Program Leadership
  • Supports the Senior Director as the operations and clinical manager for Teen Line.
  • Provides leadership to program staff and volunteers to ensure delivery of Teen Line service in accordance with Didi Hirsch philosophies.
  • Attends, participates, leads, and/or facilitates routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the program, division, or Agency.
  • Interfaces with related community agencies and attends meetings as scheduled and/ or needed.

Management/Clinical Duties
  • Provides clinical supervision to Resource Associates (RAs or adult mental health volunteers).
  • Provides clinical support and consultation to adult and teen volunteers as needed.
  • Provides regular in-person hotline supervision during shift hours (6-10 PM).
  • Provides on-call supervision during shift hours (6-10 PM) 3-4 times/week or as needed.
  • Works with the Senior Director on Teen Line policies and best practices.
  • Identifies training needs and ensures development and implementation of programs that address needs; participates in delivering training sessions to meet the needs of the program.
  • Performs managerial duties to include interviewing RAs and teens, reviewing progress of assignments, conducting performance appraisals, and developing higher levels of expertise in RAs by encouraging further education, participation in seminars, and providing learning opportunities within the program.

Program Quality, Compliance, and Reporting
  • Serves as the lead to ensure that the program is meeting its key performance indicators.
  • Collaborates closely with the crisis line operations team.
  • Designs and implements regular performance evaluations of teens and RAs.
  • Reviews call reports and documentation to ensure all reports meet or exceed required Agency and applicable regulatory agencies' standards.
  • Ensures all administrative documentation is accurate and submitted within the established timeframe; gathers and analyzes information and prepares routine reports.

Financial Duties
  • Efficiently utilizes financial resources while maintaining commitment to quality service when requesting and purchasing program supplies.

Position Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • Must be located in or able to regularly commute to Los Angeles, CA as position will be hybrid.
  • Experience working with teens and advanced knowledge of their mental health needs required.
  • Group facilitation and/or teaching experience preferred.
  • Hotline or crisis management experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising mental health professionals preferred.
  • Effective leadership and management skills; experience in effectively leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to present ideas, information, and viewpoints clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to efficiently use a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheets, and other related software programs.
  • Ability to manage employee performance consistent with defined Didi Hirsch processes.
  • Ability to utilize analysis, experience, and judgment to make solid business and therapeutic decisions and show commitment to Didi Hirsch philosophies.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs by acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Willingness to comply with Agency policies and procedures, HIPAA, DMH policies and documentation guidelines, and other state and federal regulations relating to quality assurance and improvement.
  • Current California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
