Under the leadership of Department Chair Dr. Heakyung Kim, PM&R at UT Southwestern delivers world-class care at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and affiliated outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will thrive in an academic environment, providing exemplary patient care while educating and mentoring the next generation of rehabilitation physicians. As part of one of the largest PM&R residency training programs in the United States, the faculty member will have the opportunity to work closely with residents, fellows, and medical students in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.
QualificationsQualifications
- Education: MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Board Certification: ABPMR Board certified or eligible
- Licensure: Eligible for Texas medical licensure (must acquire prior to employment)
- Demonstrated clinical excellence in inpatient, outpatient, and/or procedural rehabilitation medicine
- Commitment to the academic mission
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
