Major/Essential Functions- Provides direct patient care services in the outpatient setting
- Provides patient care and supervision of residents on the family medicine inpatient service and
- participates in the faculty call schedule
- Supervises residents in the outpatient clinic setting and participates in the overall teaching
- program for teaching and training of residents
- Supervises and teaches clerkship students in the outpatient clinic setting
- Teaches medical students throughout the medical school curriculum as assigned
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
Preferred Qualifications- Board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine for the rank of Assistant Professor or higher
- Additional training or experience in obstetrics for the candidates interested in practicing obstetrics
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

Required Qualifications- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Family Medicine
- Licensed or eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas
- Terminal academic degree (or its equivalent) as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Ability to teach effectively.
