DescriptionJob overview and responsibilitiesThe Assistant Manager - RON (Remain Overnight) will assume full responsibility for the RON operational plan and take the required steps to set the station up for success as it transitions from daily operations into overnight operations. They will monitor, adjust, and ensure a reliable operational schedule for station Leadership to execute. This role is integral to Aircraft Maintenance's mission of delivering safe, reliable aircraft efficiently and on schedule, while maintaining focus on Tech Ops' core objectives: Reliability, OTS, Safety, Execution, and Fuel Efficiency. Serves as the liaison between the Planning Team and the Operational Leaders, providing a significant and tangible improvement in communication flow with all departments at the HUB and Arlington Heights (NOC/TOMC). Coordinates communications, to share the final RON executable plan to Shift Managers and applicable teams. To ensure sustainability and realize the stated efficiencies and dollar savings, the program will include performance tracking and measurement by each Assistant Manager - RON.
- Continuous review and adjustment of the Field Planning daily plan, identifying items which need to be adjusted as a result of real time station operations
- Reviews skill sets across the work areas and ensures it matches the workload assigned
- Compares planned workload hours to available productive labor and delivers a balanced RON plan across all the work locations and areas
- Confirm hours are balanced between workload and available labor across each work location and work area
- Supports day-to-day operational execution on an as-needed basis to address workload demands and maintain continuity of operations, and promptly address personnel related issues
- Confirm visibility / availability of parts, tooling, material, touch time, OOS status and other readiness items needed to support the successful execution of the RON plan
- Initiate and update TOCS (Technical Operations Computer System) and AMIS logs on RON aircraft as needed
- Develops and maintains consistent communication with all stakeholders locally, and at the NOC
- Review previous night RON operation completion per established KPI/Dashboards that cover operational tasks, and measure by operational work area to evaluate productivity performance
- Provides report for station leadership and any identified areas of opportunity or recognition
- Reviews and coordinates with HMC to adjust parking and Hangar stack plan adjustments as required for non-routine or re-prioritized work
QualificationsWhat's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License required
- 3+ years airline maintenance
- 3+ years in a Supervisory role
- Knowledge of Technical Operations policies and procedures
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
