Responsibilities

  • Lead excellent service by engaging with guests and ensuring smooth operations on the floor.

Restaurant Manager | Labriola Italian Specialties
Chicago, IL - West Loop

Salary: $80k-$85k plus bonus

Labriola Italian Specialties is looking for an energetic, hands-on Restaurant Manager to join our West Loop team. We bring old-school Italian hospitality to one of Chicago's most exciting dining neighborhoods, and we're looking for someone who loves making guests feel welcome and helping a team deliver a great service.

What You'll Do
  • Lead a great service. Stay active on the floor, connect with guests, support the host team, run food, and keep service running smoothly.
  • Help your team grow. Coach staff on menu and beverage knowledge, steps of service, tableside presence, and proper wine service.
  • Set the tone each shift. Lead engaging preshift meetings that leave the team informed, confident, and ready to welcome guests.
  • Keep operations organized. Manage opening and closing duties, reconcile closing banks, write daily recaps, and complete final restaurant walkthroughs.
  • Support a strong team. Assist with training, provide clear feedback, recognize great work, and address performance concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Understand the business. Partner with the General Manager to manage cost of goods, labor, and comps within budget.
  • Stay ahead of the details. Write front-of-house schedules, assist with monthly inventory, and contribute ideas during management meetings.

What You Bring
  • At least two years of restaurant management experience in a busy, full-service environment
  • A love of hospitality and a strong foundation in food and beverage
  • The ability to learn our menu and confidently explain dishes, ingredients, and beverages to guests and staff
  • A leadership style that motivates others and builds accountability
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
  • A willingness to jump in, solve problems, and support your team

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work extended periods on your feet, including walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
