Summary

The Division of Enforcement (ENF), Office of Technical Services (OTS) is seeking a Supervisory IT Specialist (Assistant Director). As an Assistant Director, you will you will provide strategic IT direction, leadership, and investigative support to empower staff in achieving objectives, delivering impactful results, and advancing the Division's investigative mission.

In this role as an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the Division of Enforcement's Technical Services Group including the Litigation Support Branch; IT Forensics Branch; and Tech Consulting and Analytical Services Branch.
  • Supervising the delivery of critical technology services such as consulting, document scanning, data conversion, document review, audio processing, financial and phone record analysis, cybersecurity, and digital forensics.
  • Providing visionary leadership for technology initiatives, including implementing/ developing AI tools and shaping strategic direction across the Division of Enforcement.
  • Establishing clear channels of communication and serving as the primary liaison between program stakeholders and investigative teams.
  • Assuming central responsibility for accountability, outreach, and cross-divisional coordination.
  • Guiding program-level operations by integrating budgets and managing resources to optimize team effectiveness.
  • Leading efforts to provide technical support for investigative work, including litigation and advanced eDiscovery services.

Qualifications

Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-14 level.

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. BASIC REQUIREMENT:

For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate:

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement.

SK-17: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-14 level:

(1) Providing technical support, litigation support, eDiscovery, and digital forensic services; AND

(2)
Evaluating, developing, and implementing policies, procedures, or recommendations to meet organizational needs; AND

(3)
Serving as a strategic advisor to senior level officials regarding technology-related needs and potential impact on mission and operations.
