Full Job Description
Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director of Security and Loss Prevention, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: • Consistently offers professional, engaging, and friendly service • Responsible for assisting with the training and development of Security & Safety Programs throughout the hotel • Know and have a thorough understanding of all relevant Federal, State and Local laws • Must be flexible with regards to scheduling. Will include but not limited to working evenings and late nights • Ability to manage security team's daily operational needs. Duties will include, but are not limited to scheduling, payroll, lost and found, coaching, development, disciplinary, recruitment, attending operations meetings, and facilitating training sessions • Create a positive, team-oriented work environment through open communication, empathy, and support • Complete regular quality assurance inspections and coach accordingly • Ensure departmental schedules reflect our service commitments, colleague needs and business-productivity commitments • Investigate claims efficiently and responsibly • Must be able to resolve Guest complaints and handle emergency situations • Must be able to build strong relationships • Conduct monthly communication meetings with all colleagues • Ensure that colleague's appearance is always reflective of our grooming standards • Conduct daily shift briefings ensuring that our colleagues are well informed and prepared to deliver outstanding service • Follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations • Assist with financial tasks including ordering, month-end, forecast and budget. • Other duties as assigned Compensation: $97,000.00 - $100,000 Annual Salary Plus bonus Qualifications • 3-5 years Management Experience • Experience in the luxury sector of the New York market is an asset • New York State Security Guard Certification required • Valid C.P.R. certification required • Fire Safety Director License an asset • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Labor relations knowledge • Excellent communication skills • Strong Investigative Skills
