ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS & INSTRUCTION

Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Schools supports the Director of Schools in ensuring high-quality
instruction, strong school leadership, and effective campus operations across assigned schools.
This role works closely with principals, school leadership teams, and network departments to
advance the organization's instructional vision, ensure compliance, and promote a safe,
high-performing school culture.

Requirements
  • This will serve multiple school locations and travel will be required


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Schools in overseeing the quality of instruction across assigned campuses and advancing "ThirdFuture Ready" instructional practices as outlined in TFS instructional documents
  • Assist in coaching, supporting, and developing school principals and other key school leaders
  • Support the development and sustainability of a high-performance culture at each campus
  • Provide instructional coaching and feedback to teachers, as directed, to improve classroom practice and student outcomes
  • Support principals and school leadership teams in the day-to-day operation and management of campuses
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment at each school
  • Support principals with staffing needs, including onboarding and retention efforts
  • Monitor campus action plans and assist with campus quarterly reviews
  • Assist principals with student recruitment and enrollment efforts
  • Support the coordination and implementation of state testing requirements
  • Work with principals and the Director of Schools to ensure timely submission ofreports to authorizers and state or federal education agencies
  • Collaborate with local ISDs and authorizers in areas including staffing, HR,finance, special populations, and compliance
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Unified Improvement Plans in collaboration with authorizers
  • Participate in campus reviews and provide input on school performance
  • Support the Director of Schools and Executive Director of Schools in summativeevaluations of campus administrators
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the network's mission andstrategic goals


Reporting Relationship
  • The Assistant Director of Schools reports directly to the Director of Schools
  • The Assistant Director is supervised and evaluated by the Director of Schools and may respond to requests and directives from the Executive Director of Schools and CEO as needed


Relationship with the School Board
  • The Assistant Director of Schools may support the Director of Schools and Executive Director of Schools by providing data, reports, or information requested by the School Board
  • Works collaboratively with network leadership to support the vision and strategic plan approved by the Board


Compensation and details
  • Annual Base Salary: $100,000
  • Start Date: September 1st, 2026
  • Location: Remote with frequent campus visits required
  • Travel Requirements: Regular travel between campus locations required
